Поисковый гигант Google представил новую версию браузера Chrome 48. Согласно данным в блоге разработчиков, она получила поддержку видеокодека VP9, особенностью которого является поддержка шифра RC4 в HTTPS. Этот метод шифрования создан почти 30 лет назад, в 1987 году, и на сегодня устарел. В новой версии браузера появились и новые возможности. В частности, теперь в случае привязки браузера к нескольким аккаунтам появляется кнопка выбора необходимой учётной записи.
Google Chrome обновился до 48-й версии
В инструменты для разработчиков добавлена новая панель для оценки безопасности страницы, позволяющая выявить проблемы в процессе перехода на HTTPS, а при очистке истории теперь отображается количество удаляемых элементов.
Также в версии для Linux появились уведомления о скором прекращении поддержки 32-разрядной версии программы. В случае же, если необходимо распечатать веб-страницу, Google Chrome теперь умеет автоматически вырезать баннеры и элементы управления со страницы до её печати.
Кроме этого, в браузере было устранено 37 уязвимостей.
Stable Channel Update
The Chrome team is delighted to announce the promotion of Chrome 48 to the stable channel for Windows, Mac and Linux.
Chrome 48.0.2564.82 contains a number of fixes and improvements -- a list of changes is available in the log. Watch out for upcoming Chrome and Chromium blog posts about new features and big efforts delivered in 48.
Security Fixes and Rewards
Note: Access to bug details and links may be kept restricted until a majority of users are updated with a fix. We will also retain restrictions if the bug exists in a third party library that other projects similarly depend on, but haven’t yet fixed.
