SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS
ANY ORIGINAL VERSION OF ARMA 1.08 (Note that some of the fixes were included in the 1.08 hotfix already).

Visit updates section at armedassault.com to update your ArmA as necessary.

October 2006 DirectX 9 runtime is required (d3dx9_31.dll) and patch installer will update your system with it automatically if you don't have it installed.

OpenAL will be updated during the patch process to version 2.0.3.

Run the patch exe to apply the patch setup automatically (you may be prompted to choose your exact version in some occasions).

It will install all beta content to a mod folder "Beta" and shortcut "Launch Arma Beta Patch" to your ArmA directory (default is C:Program FilesBohemia InteractiveArmA or C:Program FilesAtariArmA).

It is recommended to uninstall older beta patches before installing this new beta patch.

There's an uninstall application exe Uninstall_ARMAPatch_109beta.exe included in the patch archive that allows you to remove the beta folder and associated shortcut from you game directory.

You can still run your existing ArmA normally by using the existing shortcuts and as far as we know, the beta shouldn't interfere with your game, so even after you installed the beta you should be able to install this beta patch normally.

To run the beta version, you need to start "Launch Arma Beta Patch" in your ArmA game directory.

If you need to run ArmA another way, and you still want to run the beta, make sure to start the ArmA.exe from the beta subfolder with working directory set to the normal ArmA directory and also with command line option -mod=beta

Note: 1.09 is not compatible in multiplayer with any previously available versions.

occasional BSOD in multiplayer using VOIP with some SoundBlaster cards (this problem was present also in all previous version of ArmA including 1.08 but due to limited use of VOIP it wasn't real issue). Known work around is to disable hardware acceleration in ArmA audio options.
BE server protection doesn't work
Patch can't be installed if you have beta folder with version 1.07 present:you need to remove beta folder in case you have 1.07 beta folder present in order to install this patch

===ARMA WARFARE===


ArmA Warfare, included as a bonus update in this patch, is a blend of a team-based multiplayer mission and realtime strategy. Two sides (BLUFOR vs. OPFOR) fight for control of the whole map. It is multiplayer map designed for 1 up to 32 players. It also uses other bonus content included in the patch: desert Marines and a modified Southern Sahrani map.

To start ArmA Warfare game, start multiplayer mission as usual. In the Create game screen select „Southern Sahrani“ island. The „Warfare v1.0“ and „Warfare v1.0 for 32“ players missions appear in the list on the right. Select them to play Warfare. Standard Warfare is the 16 player (8 vs Cool mission. Warfare for 32 players (16 vs 16) is recommended for higher performance systems. See briefing screen of the Warfare mission for more instructions.

Full ArmA Warfare Manual is included in pdf file in the patch distribution.

===BATTLEYE===

This patch will automatically offer you to install anti cheating software for online games to your ARMA working folder. If you decide not to install Battleye, your patch still will be working but you may not be able to join game servers that will have installed Battleye software for increased anti cheating protection.

It will install all BattlEye content to a folder "BattlEye" (default is C:\Program Files\Bohemia Interactive\ArmA\BattlEye or C:\Program Files\Atari\ArmA\BattleEye). If BattlEye was installed, it will be securing online sessions hosted on your server (requiring all clients to have BattlEye also installed) unless it is disabled in server config using line "battlEye = 0;"

NOTE: BattlEye itself will be run from ARMA's application data folder (default is C:\Documents and Settings\[User Name]\Local Settings\Application Data\ArmA\BattlEye) to have write access in order to be able to download/install updates and/or create logs and other BE-related files.

There's an uninstall application UnInstallBE.exe installed in the BattlEye installation folder that allows you to remove BattlEye from ARMA. You can also remove BattlEye using Add/Remove Programs control panel.

Об Игре: Война между Грузией и Осетией, вспыхнувшая летом прошлого года, никак не могла остаться незамеченной поклонниками главного военного симулятора современности. Модмейкеры собрались с силами и выложились по полной - сделали образцово-показательную модификацию (а точнее говоря - контент-пак) на тему грузино-осетинского конфликта для Armed Assault. Установив Osetia War Mod, вы избавите себя от необходимости ставить многочисленные дополнения поодиночке. Здесь вы получите все и сразу - модели транспортных средств, солдат, оружия и много чего еще.

В игру добавлено несколько десятков прорисованных до мелочей моделей солдат различных подразделений. Вы встретитесь с танкистами и пилотами, отрядами спецназа и пехоты, группами миротворцев и ополченцев. Появилось и множество новых образцов боевой техники, выбор которой зависит только от вашего желания и необходимости добиться выполнения поставленной задачи с наименьшими потерями и наилучшим результатом. Желаете провести массированную атаку с воздуха? Со средним многоцелевым вертолетом Ми-17, оснащенным 57-мм ракетами, это не проблема. Необходимо обеспечить быстрый прорыв обороны, проложить дорогу пехоте или поразить бронированные машины противника? На этот случай имеется танк Т-72, вооружение которого состоит из 125-мм гладкоствольной пушки и пулемета. А для проведения разведывательных операций и перевозки солдат в горячие точки отлично подойдет дозорный бронетранспортер "Кобра". Царапины, потертости, ржавчина и некоторые другие детали явно свидетельствуют о том, что все эти транспортные средства уже не раз прошли огонь, воду и медные трубы. Кроме всего перечисленного, разработчикам удалось значительно улучшить искусственный интеллект бойцов: теперь они быстрее ориентируются на местности, молниеносно обнаруживают врага и истребляют его в считанные секунды, всячески прикрывают друг друга в бою, умело используют естественные и искусственные укрытия. Учитывая всё вышеописанное, вам придется изрядно попотеть, чтобы справиться с агрессивными отрядами неприятеля.
