SideBar в Windows Longhorn
На сайте разботчика программы требования к системе однозначны:
1. Операционная система Windows XP (Pro or Home edition),
2. Установленый windows messenger, который у меня был благополучно снесен :
пришлось поставить назад через меню Add or remove Windows Components
после чего messenger поместился в автозагрузку, пришлось доступ в Интернет запретить firewallом.
При попытке убрать messenger из списка автозагрузки, он прописывается опять,
как только стартует SmartBar.
Заметили что по умолчанию в часиках нет лого longhorn? Теперь скрины…
На сайте их 8, в темах longhorn часики со знаменитым логотипом.

Конфигурирование програмы трудностей не вызаывает,
интуитивно понятное "древовидное меню". Теперь что программа может…
Панель может перемещаться и располагаться слева или справа,
можно задавать прозрачность, можно скрывать при неиспользовании
или по клику мышей Меню имеет древовидную структуру и интуитивно
понятно даже для незнающего английский язык

1. Меню быстрого запуска программ, при желании
в установках можно прописать желаемые программы
указав путь и используемую иконку.
2. Поиск по основным англоязычным поиковым серверам
3. Часики знаменитые, куда ж без них то….
4. Слайд шоу с 3 режимами работы:
Смена картинки через заданный промежуток времени
Смена по клику мышей на изображении
Статическая выбранная картинка
5. Календарь текущего месяца
6. Панель погоды. Выбор один из 3 серверов.
Кликом мышей на панели разворачивается в подробную карту.
7. POP3 mail checker.
В установках указываете login пароль и имя хоста.
8. MP3 player
9. Мониторинг производительности системы
Дополнительно:
Мониторинг CPU, RAM, Page file, NET
Мониторинг свободного пространства HDD
Мониторинг полученых-отправленый байт
Мониторинг скорости интернет соединении

Кстати, вчера скачал уже версию beta 4.3 ...
Никаких особых претензий к системе не было...
В настройках появилась (может, и раньше была) возможность отключать запуск MSN Messager...
