PolyView – это многофункциональная графическая утилита, предназначенная для просмотра, печати, конвертирования изображений и управления ими. С её помощью можно осуществлять быстро работающие функции рендеринга, масштабирования, прокрутки, обрезки изображений, а также регулировки яркости, контрастности, создание thumbnails для предпросмотра нескольких размеров, генерацию слайд-шоу, управление фоновыми обоями Windows, получение изображений с TWAIN совместимых устройств. Программа поддерживает более 30 форматов изображений, включая: BMP, GIF (в т.ч. анимационные), FlashPix, JPEG, Paint Shop Pro, TIFF, Targa, Kodak PhotoCD, WBMP (Wireless Application Protocol), PNG, Paint Shop... Разработчики отмечают, что программа, в отличие от конкурентов, умеет распечатывать не только одно изображение на страницы, но и сразу несколько, причем можно указать их размер, положение и прочие параметры. Также имеется возможность создания веб-страниц, на которых будет содержаться коллекция Thumbnails.
В последних версиях появилась функция внедрения в рисунки текстовых надписей, добавления колонтитулов при печати, добавлена поддержка изображений, полученных с помощью цифровых камер Kodak Professional, улучшена поддержка других форматов.
