BitTorrent (БитТорент)
Что это такое и как работает?

Bittorrent - это программа, вернее система программ которая позволяет очень быстро распространять файлы среди пользователей,
своеобразная "система распространения файлов".

Bittorrent полностью соответствует современным p2p требованиям:
- многопоточная закачка,
- хешинг файла,
- разбиение файла на многочисленные кусочки (chop),
- выдача на upload еще недокаченного файла (по кускам),
- 100% коррекция ошибок.

Для нормального функционирования нужен
Трэкер (tracker) - это сервер, связывающий участников файлообмена.
На нем также обычно хранятся torrent файлы, или для быстроты торренты - файлы с расширением .torrent с данными, которые были созданы для использования клиентом BitTorrent. Они содержит данные, необходимые для скачивания или расшаривания нужного вам файла.

Для подключения к трекеру используют разнообразные клиентские программы:

Кстати, по поводу нового Azureus 3.0.1.2 - Vuze.
Если подменить Azureus.exe от версии 2.5.0.4а, то
получается очень приличный клиент, без всяких новых (как по мне и ненужных) фич.
Ну или наооборот, в 2.5.0.4а подменить jar файл от нового.

Кому интересно, выкладываю наборчик "сделай сам":

внутри: экзешники от обоих версий и jar файл от релиза 3.0.1.2.
