PerfectDisk 2000 от Raxco Software позволяет дефрагментировать информацию на винчестерах, повышая тем самым производительность дисковой подсистемы.
В отличие он схожих программ (типа Norton Speed Disk), Perfect Disk работаeт под Windows-платформами (2К/ХР) с любой файловой системой даже при минимуме свободного дискового пространства, позволяет дефрагментировать не только файлы, но и MFT (главная таблица файлов в NTFS-разделе), файлы метаданных, базы MS Exchange. Он оптимизирует директории, убирая удаленные записи, дефрагментирует swap-файл, переразмещает файлы на диске в зависимости от частоты их использования, объединяет свободное место. позволяет выполнять автообновления.
Есть поддержки RAID томов, улучшены функции дефрагментации MFT.

Raxco PerfectDisk 8 - неплохая версия, но с недостатком - не видит жестких дисков подключенных через USB.

Raxco PerfectDisk Professional 2008 Build 44

В сборке под номером 44 сделано огромное количество изменений. Из нововведений можно отметить ускоренный процесс оптимизации диска, работа на низких разрешениях, печать статистики проделанной работы, обновленная справка, улучшенная работы с групповыми политиками безопасности. Кроме того, сделаны мелкие изменения в системе управления программой, контекстных меню. Также исправлено около двадцати различных ошибок

Raxco PerfectDisk 8 - неплохая версия, но с недостатком - не видит жестких дисков подключенных через USB.

Все отлично видит, нужно только галочку для сменных дисков в настройках поставить.

Bug Fixes
- Fixed boot time defrag issue on very large drives.
- Occasionally boot time defragmentation passes cannot move a file. Changes were made to minimize this condition.
- A change was made to the boot time defragmentation code to work around changes in Vista SP1. Previously user may have received a driver conflict message and the boot-time defragmentation pass was skipped.
- When querying files with more than 1000 names, PD91Engine may some times crash. This has been fixed.

Bug Fixes
1. During a boot-time defrag on an Intel, multi-core, X64 processor, running Windows Vista SP2 or Windows Server 2008 SP2 you may experience a crash after the boot-time defrag completes and the computer is rebooting. Raxco has confirmed there is a race condition in Windows if the computer is rebooted during the boot process. Rebooting after the boot-time defrag can trigger this. Microsoft acknowledges the crash however the code path has been removed in Windows 7 so there will be no fix for Windows Vista or Server 2008. Raxco has worked around this timing condition with this service pack.
2. Changes made in McAfee Total Endpoint Protection (SafeBoot) prevent PerfectDisk from excluding SafeBoot files from defragmentation.
3. An excluded file located on system drive root is not reported as Excluded.
4. Analyze statistics for a system drive does not list the pagefile.
5. Recycler and Space Reports process a removable drive after Removable storage was turned OFF.
6. Performance and free space charts do not show date for the latest data point.
7. The entire System Volume Information folder does not need to be excluded from defragmentation.
8. PerfectDisk.exe crashes in Exchange version after the trial period expires.
9. Automatic adjustment of resource thresholds is not working in Virtual Edition version.
10. Recycler pane does not preserve drive selection and option selection.
11. Remove "Buy Now" link from a fully licensed version.
