Media Player Classic

Media Player Classic - свободно-распространяемый проигрыватель аудио- и видео-файлов для операционной системы Windows. Программа имеет интерфейс, аналогичный Windows Media Player версии 6.4, однако основана на совершенно другой кодовой базе и по функциональным возможностям значительно его превосходит.
Media Player Classic был создан и поддерживается программистом по имени «Gabest». Gabest изначально разрабатывал Media Player Classic как программу с закрытыми исходниками, однако позднее решил их опубликовать. Media Player Classic распространяется по лицензии GPL и имеет собственный проект на SourceForge.net под названием Guliverkli.

Возможности программы:

Воспроизведение VCD, SVCD и DVD без установки дополнительных кодеков.
Воспроизведение AudioCD.
Воспроизведение Real Media и QuickTime (если в системе установлены соответствующие кодеки)
Воспроизведение файлов любых форматов, поддерживающих DirectShow, например, DivX, XviD, H.264.
Воспроизведение и захват видео с TV-тюнер-ов.
Воспроизведение Macromedia Flash-роликов, при наличии установленного ActiveX плагина, с возможностью перемотки.
Произвольное перемещение и масштабирование изображения.
Поддержка систем управления WinLirc и uICE.
Возможность настройки горячих клавиш.
Сохранение декодированного потока (например, MPEG2 с защищенных DVD).
Просмотр фильмов в разрешении, отличном от текущего.
Поддержка командной строки.
Поддержка субтитров.
Возможность воспроизведения второй звуковой дорожки (в любом поддерживаемом формате).
Воспроизведение поврежденных AVI-файлов

Media Player Classic HomeCinema (x86/x64) - удобный во всех планах мультимедийный проигрыватель. Он построен на базе классического плеера Media Player Classic, и имеет свой интегрированный набор медиа-кодеков, и благодаря этому может проигрывать многие форматы видео/аудио файлов без установки сторонних средств. Этот плеер имеет большое количество различных функциональных возможностей: он умеет воспроизводить DVD диски, умеет аппаратно декодировать популярный формат H.264 на видеокартах последнего поколения, умеет корректно работать со вторым монитором (телевизором), поддерживает различные виду субтитров, умеет работать с форматами QuickTime и RealVideo и т.д. Плеер имеет небольшой размер и полностью понятный и не перегруженный излишними функциями интерфейс, переведенный на 14 языков.

- when using the /cd switch the current drive is checked first, where the player was launched from.
- the initial output buffer of the internal audio decoder was made a bit larger, means it may still work when there is such filter connected downstream which won't let the buffer size increased dynamically when needed.

- Mpeg video decoder: implemented frame-dropping (b-frames only) when running late and added a new sse2 idct (intel's code, AP-945), now high-definition clips should keep the sync at least
- Mpeg splitter: plays discontinuous/joint files to the end but seeking still broken with those, also recognizes aac streams and misdetects others as lpcm less frequently
- New aac decoder based on libfaad, coreaac didn't handle mpeg's aac very well for some reason (he-aac, stereo downmixing supported)
- Volume normalizer can be "boosted" a bit in case you find the level still low, look for the slider next to the normalize checkbox
- Added a /nofocus command line switch
- More fine tuning of the internal splitters' packet buffering
- Fixed the "higher than normal" priority option, it was not applied after reopening the player
- New option to launch files in fullscreen (checkbox at options/player)
- 7th internal logo by Steve Smith (looks very nice), if you made any in the past contact me again and I'll add your name to the logo chooser page, next to your logo
- Fixed the file browser not displaying anything on cd drives under xp, when the recording feature of the operating system is enabled

я бы сказал, что ето не русификатор, а русская версия программы
посему скачивать саму прогу необязательно
